Roles

MailOven supports three roles:

The user who creates the organization is automatically the owner.

Inviting members

  1. Go to Organization Settings (/org/edit)
  2. Click + Invite
  3. Enter the invitee's email address and select a role
  4. Click Send Invitation

The invitee receives an email with a link to accept. Invitations expire after 48 hours.

TIP

You can invite up to 10 people per hour per organization.

What happens when someone accepts

  • New users — they create a password and an account is set up automatically
  • Existing users (logged out) — they enter their password to confirm
  • Existing users (logged in) — they click a single button to join

After accepting, the user is redirected to the inbox.

Viewing members

The Team tab in Organization Settings lists all current members with their role and email.

Removing members

Owners can remove any non-owner member:

  1. Go to Organization Settings → Team
  2. Click Remove next to the member
  3. Confirm the action

Removed members lose access immediately. They can be re-invited later.

Pending invitations

The Team tab also shows pending invitations. Owners can cancel any pending invitation before it's accepted.

Leaving an organization

Any member (including admins) can leave voluntarily:

  1. Go to Account (/account)
  2. Scroll to Leave Organization
  3. Click Leave Organization and confirm

WARNING

The sole owner of an organization cannot leave. Transfer ownership or delete the organization instead.
